![]() Since its your first time on a GNU/Linux system, I'd like to recommend Ubuntu or any other Ubuntu flavor. Hi there! I'd advice you to take a look at this site: It will help you have a general idea of each distribution that may interest you. I'll still play around with other distros on a VM, but for my daily driver I've decided to stick with Ubuntu since it's the one I've had to fight with the least in order to use it. ![]() In the end, I just need a distro that works and is easy to fix for when I want to sit down and use my computer. When I was running Arch, searching for solutions to issues required very specific search terms, and so many solutions expected me to be intimately familiar with command line programs I had never heard of. ![]() Chances are high that you can find someone taking about your exact issue, and because it's Ubuntu, explaining the steps to solve in a manner meant for new users. When googling an issue, half the articles you find will be Ubuntu specific, it makes troubleshooting so much easier. Ubuntu really is the best recommendation for someone new to Linux, not just because of the relative ease of install and familiar UI, but also for the online resources.
